Morning Kiss Organic kicks off imported pear season
Chelsea, Mass.-based Morning Kiss Organic has started its imported organic pear season.
The import season runs from March through June, according to a news release, and varieties that will be offered include packham, anjou and bartlett.
In mid-April, Morning Kiss was importing bartlett pears from Argentina. The company offers year-round supply of organic pears by working with growers in Argentina, California and Washington.
“We are excited to continue to grow our organic pear offerings,” the company’s Nelly Czajkowski said in the release. “Pears are popular among all demographics, and we expect good volume from Argentina this season with plenty of opportunities for promotions for our retail partners.”
Morning Kiss Organics is working to expand its organic pear line to include red pears this year, according to the release.
Pears are available in full size cartons or half cartons, with the option to have an organic band around each piece of fruit to ensure retailers get the organic sale at check out, according to the release.
In addition, Morning Kiss Organic also is offering a 2-pound bag – packed as a 12/2-pound or 18/2-pound carton.
