Church Brothers gears up for PMA Foodservice Conference

Salinas, Calif.-based Church Brothers Farms is preparing for the Produce Marketing Association’s Foodservice Conference through a week long of events and activities.

The week before the late-July show, Church Brothers is hosting plant and field tours as well as tours of its Clean Power Station, according to a news release.

The company will then kick off the weekend by sponsoring a rider in Tour de Fresh, a three-day cycling event (July 25-27) with a finish line in Monterey, Calif. The event raises money for the Salad Bars to School campaign.

Jeff Church, vice president of sales, will be riding to support the Oceanside, Calif.-based Vista Unified School District. He has raised $3,100 of his $6,685 goal, according to the release.

Donations for the biking event can be made at tourdefresh.com/riders.

Church Brothers is sponsoring the Technomics education session on Saturday, according to the release, which will present the “State of the Foodservice” report.

Customers are invited to the company’s annual Ranch Party, a private event, July 29, according to the release.

Church Brothers plans to feature value-added products and commodities at booth No. 1101, at the July 30 expo. The booth will showcase Chef Ready Bell Peppers, which have a longer shelf life and can be stored in cooler temperatures, according to the release.
