Join us on June 10 for our first ever farmer takeover of the Alliance for Food and Farming’s Instagram at @safeproduce. Chelsea McClarty Ketelsen, Vice President of HMC Farms in Kingsburg, California will be showing a day in the life in her world of farming when we give her the “keys” to our Instagram account.  While we sometimes take for granted the hard work that farmers put in every day to provide us with fresh produce, Chelsea’s Instagram takeover will help highlight the work of the farmers that grow our favorite fruits and veggies.

Throughout the day on June 10, Chelsea will be giving us a glimpse into life on the farm, at home, as a mom, and how it all comes together to bring you delicious grapes, peaches, plums and nectarines. We’re excited to have Chelsea takeover our Instagram. Follow @safeproduce on Instagram and watch for live stories and posts from Chelsea all day long.

A little bit about Chelsea:

Chelsea obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo College of Agriculture with a concentration in Food Science and Nutrition. Chelsea spent most of her summers in high school and college working in different areas of HMC including the administrative and sales departments and began working full time for the company in 2007.  She was part of the inaugural class of the Western Growers Future Leaders program, a Founding Member of the Western Growers Women's Program, a committee member for Communities for Healthy Kids, and participated in the Future Leaders Program through the Produce Marketing Association. She works alongside her husband Drew, as well as her father, brother and sister-in-law.
