(Arable Capital Partners)

Arable Capital Partners (“Arable”) announced today the acquisition of Royal Ridge Fruits, Dorsing Farms, Inc. and related entities.

Through a partnership with the Dorsing family, Arable is acquiring both the processing operations, Royal Ridge Fruit & Cold Storage, and the farming operations, with the establishment of Royal Ridge Farms, LLC (collectively “Royal Ridge” or the “Company”).

The Dorsing family will continue as owners and manage day-to-day operations of Royal Ridge, while rolling over a meaningful equity stake.  Based in Royal City, WA, Royal Ridge is a top U.S. grower and processor of organic and conventional tart and sweet cherries, apples, blueberries and other assorted dried fruit.

Royal Ridge is a leader in the processing of organic and conventional dried and IQF fruits, with recognized retail offerings under the Stoneridge™ Orchards brand. The Company is a national leader in growing and processing of organic dried tart cherries for uses in trail mix, granola, baked goods and fruit and nut bars. The farm has grown to over 2,500 acres planted in conventional and certified organic tart and sweet cherries, blueberries, apples, and other crops in the greater Royal City, WA region.

Arable is partnering with the Company’s existing management team to continue to grow the business and operations. “Royal Ridge sought a strategic partner who is well versed in vertically integrated agriculture and shares our collective vision for future growth.  Arable provided the right structure that worked for our family and has a good mix of operational and investing experience, and aligned well with our goals,” explained Kevin Dorsing, CEO of Royal Ridge Fruits.  Dorsing also indicated that he and the other family members valued Arable’s long-term investment approach. Scott Dorsing, the President of Dorsing Farms added, “Arable fit well culturally with our family, we are excited to team up with Arable to continue to grow the processing and farming businesses.”

“With this investment we are getting great partners in a farming and processing business in the fresh, dried and frozen fruit sector that we really like, particularly organics. We have spent a lot of time in our home state of Washington looking at the industry and feel that Royal City, WA, is one of the premier growing regions in the United States,” said Greg Richards, Managing Director of Arable. “This is a fantastic partnership in a vertically integrated platform investment that will allow us to capitalize on additional growth opportunities,” said Derek Yurosek, Managing Director of Arable.
