Bronx, N.Y.-based Baldor Specialty Foods, importer and distributor of fresh produce and specialty foods in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, expanded its Urban Roots retail line with three ready-to-eat, plant-based, healthy snacks. The additions pair fresh vegetables with plant-based dips and dressings, packaged for on-the-go eating, according to a news release.

The Urban Roots healthy snacking line includes:

  • Sugar snap peas with ginger miso dip;

  • Crudité with Gotham Greens vegan goddess; and

  • Carrot and celery sticks with vegan buffalo dip.

Each Urban Roots healthy snack is made fresh daily from the New York City facility that allows for quick production turnaround in fewer than 24 hours.

“Urban Roots pairs Baldor’s obsession with quality and logistics which delivers innovation, convenience and deliciousness to the produce aisle,” says Baldor vice president of sales and marketing Benjamin Walker said in the release.

The three snack kits are available through Baldor home delivery and at all Whole Food Markets in the Northeast, except Buffalo, N.Y., and the North Atlantic, and other metro-grocery markets.
