New promotional toolkit available from Produce for Better Health

To ensure companies are ready for September, National Fruits & Veggies Month, Produce for Better Health Foundation has launched a 2021 toolkit.

The online National Fruits and Veggies Month Toolkit is filled with turnkey resources that industry partners and produce professionals can use to spread the Have A Plant movement, elevating fruit and vegetable consumption to a national priority, according to a news release.

United Nations General Assembly has designated 2021 the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables, inspiring the foundation to create four content themes throughout September to generate excitement for fruits and veggies in every culture and get all seven continents on the same #haveaplant track.

“The 2021 National Fruits & Veggies Month Toolkit makes it easy for all plant-passionate advocates to join PBH in celebrating the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables, with globally-inspired turnkey resources, compelling social content, visually appealing creative assets, new research …,” Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, foundation president, CEO and registered dietitian, said in the release.

The tools are tailored by audience: online, retail, culinary and foodservice:

  • New research and consumer insights in the 2020 PBH State of the Plate: Americans Fruit & Vegetable Consumption Trends report;
  • Social media posts and images for industry, influencers and consumers;
  • Sample press release for collaborators to add their logo and express support for National Fruits & Veggies Month;
  • Turnkey editorial copy for use in newsletters, websites and other internal and external communications to share fruit and veggie love in your company’s own way and voice; and
  • Segmented promotional ideas and opportunities for suppliers, retailers, community leaders and influencers.
