2021 Global Organic Produce Expo is only a few weeks away and Brent Lunn, vice president of sales at Mother Raw, has a few tips and tricks to successfully navigate a successful produce expo. Register

What they’re most excited about for Global Organic Produce Expo (GOPEX Golf)?

At the risk of stating the obvious it has been a crazy 18 months. As much as technology has allowed us to continue to communicate and meet the needs of our customers, there is no replacement for being face to face to share innovation and share our story. I am so excited to see the familiar faces from past meetings and meet new buyers / potential partners.

What is your go-to trade show shoes? Any other trade show tips and tricks?

The fact that this show is largely outside is fantastic. In part to limit risk but also because a beautiful outdoor setting will be so much more enjoyable than being in an exhibition hall. So, the dress shoes just might get replaced with sandals. A person smarter than myself would also be sure to get a good night’s sleep and limit the wine intake.

What is your best memory of Florida?

I love Florida. So many great memories but I will pick two...from opposite ends of the spectrum...my parents enjoying their retirement years acting like kids and, of course, nothing compares to my daughter’s first day at Disney.

What is your favorite golf story?

I guess I would go with watching a friend hit a tee shot that ended up twenty feet behind him (without the ball hitting anything...simply a terrible swing and a lot of backspin) and then the same guy getting his first hole-in-one, proving that consistency and amateur golf rarely go together.  https://events.farmjournal.com/global-organic-produce-expo-golf-2021
