Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Gotham Greens, which grows, packages and markets sustainable greenhouse-grown salad greens, herbs, dressings, dips and cooking sauces, is expanding its fresh foods line.

There will be two new plant-based, dairy-free salad dressings: vegan ranch and vegan caesar, according to a news release.

The new dressings are crafted with ingredients including Gotham Greens’ own greenhouse-grown basil.

Ranch and caesar rank as the No. 1 and No. 3 most popular dressings and dips nationally, according to the release.

The anch uses expeller-pressed sunflower oil, black pepper, white vinegar and dried parsley and the Caesar is made with silken tofu, organic miso, Dijon mustard, extra virgin olive oil, capers, black pepper and organic soy sauce.

“We know and love that consumers are increasingly gravitating toward more plant-based diets for the sake of their health and the environment,” said CEO and cofounder Viraj Puri said in the release.

The new dressings became available at all Sprouts Farmers Market nationwide beginning July 20.

To celebrate the launch, Gotham Greens partnered with popular New York City and Jersey City pizza shops such as Pizza Loves Emily, Paulie Gee’s and Razza for limited-time specialty pizzas August 1-31.

As part of the company’s sustainability mission, 20% of proceeds from each special pizza sold will be donated to Slice Out Hunger to fund hunger relief efforts throughout New York City.

Today, New York City and the Northeast region remains one of Gotham Greens’ largest footprints, with almost 100,000 square feet of hydroponic greenhouses across Brooklyn and Queens. Gotham Greens also operates greenhouses in Providence, R.I., Baltimore, Chicago, Denver and northern California.
