Misionero updates Garden Life packaging

Misionero updates Garden Life packaging

Misionero has made some changes to the packaging of its Garden Life lettuce line.

The updates include product use ideas on the front of the package, peel-and-reseal technology and better product visibility, according to a news release.

“Early customer responses have been positive to both the packaging and rebranding efforts,” said marketing manager Alicia Blanco. “New, brighter packaging colors stand out on the shelf.”

Product will begin shipping with the new look the week of Oct. 9, Blanco said.

Using a peel-and-reseal top allows Misionero to use 20% less plastic in the packaging.

The Gonzales, Calif.-based company plans to eventually have that feature for all its value-added items, with Canadian stock-keeping units making the transition after the Garden Life packaging has been moved over.
