Pure Flavor to promote snack line, new greenhouse at Fresh Summit
Pure Hothouse Foods will showcase its snack food lines during the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit convention and expo in New Orleans, as well as promote its groundbreaking on a Georgia greenhouse.
The Leamington, Ontario-based company, which markets under its Pure Flavor brand, will feature its products using an interactive display at the Oct. 19-21 event at booth No. 1635, according to a news release.
The company’s line includes Juno Bites Red Grape Tomatoes, Aurora Bites Sweet Mini Peppers, Poco Bites Cocktail Cucumbers, and six different types of snack tomatoes.
Pure Flavor also plans to display its Mini Munchies Snack Size Veggie program, which combines different snack-sized vegetables in 4-ounce bags, the release said.
During the expo, the company, with the help of chefs, will offer attendees appetizers to sample such as: cucumber popsicles, fire roasted mini peppers, roasted eggplant and crab dip and more.
In late September, Pure Flavor broke ground on its new 75-acre greenhouse in Peach County, Ga., according to the release.
The Georgia greenhouse will grow tomatoes and cucumbers year-round.
“We are committed to growing our business throughout North America and as a vertically integrated grower/marketer, this is a major step forward for the Pure Flavor brand,” president Jamie Moracci, said in the release.
Construction is expected to be complete by next summer, with harvest to begin in mid-fall of next year, the release said.
