DLF International announces new hires, promotions

(DLF International)

Fort Pierce, Fla.-based DLF International is pleased to announce that Ed Sheubrooks has joined the DLF sales team.

Ed is a 40-year veteran within the Florida Citrus Industry and will be the Sales Manager for the Northeast and Midwest areas.

Russel Kiger has been promoted to Sales Director of New Accounts. His primary focus will be to expand and develop our outreach into new markets but will continue to coordinate with our sales team as we continue to grow and expand our existing accounts.

Ben Backus will remain the Sales Manager for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic area. Ben will also continue to maintain the positive relationship he has built with several National Chains.

Jordan Feek will be coordinating with our Sales team for implementing DLF marketing goals as well as helping with customer needs for marketing support.

DLF continues to be a leader in the Florida Citrus Industry. We continue to focus on new technology and automation and its application at the packinghouse level. Recently, DLF has updated/automated our grading system, and increased our bagging capacity.

For this new 2021-22 season we have added a new bagging system for packing large fruits (grapefruit, oranges) as well as a test auto-place packing system and new tray former. All of which will allow us to improve our efficiency and quality.

We are currently underway with our design for a 35,000 square foot distribution center. The new distribution center will allow us to keep our storage Valencia’s on site as well as expand into other produce distribution. This new addition will be capable to hold temperatures as low as 33 F, with humidity, air exchange and ethylene control in each room.

On the farm, Feek Properties, LLC has added approximately 750 new acres of grapefruit production and in the process of expanding further.

Everyone at DLF is excited for the future of Florida Citrus and wish everyone a great 2021-22 season.
