Hurst International to show Versaprint labeling system
Hurst International is bringing its Versaprint produce labeling system to the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit convention and expo in New Orleans.
The Los Angeles company’s printer makes labels for direct application to fruits such as citrus, apples, pears, stone fruit, avocados, pomegranates and kiwifruit, as well as for onions.
Hurst will run a raffle at its expo booth, No. 1645, with raffle tickets printed by its Versaprint system and a prize of a Callaway golf bag and set of irons, with the winner drawn at random after the show, according to a news release.
“We are very excited to showcase our Print on Demand Versaprint labeling system,” Ari Lichtenberg, president and CEO of Hurst International, said in the release. “Our direct thermal printing technology allows packers to label up to 63 different graphics at speeds up to 15 fruits per second with the highest effective application rate in the industry. ...To be able to see the speed and versatility of the systems in operation at the booth will really demonstrate its capabilities.”
Staff at the booth will demonstrate the company’s labeling system, including labels printed with codes for item-level traceability as well as the Versaprint Dual Cassette system, which allows for two different label stocks on a single bank, according to the release.
