New sustainable cling film is being introduced by Fabbri Group
A new sustainable cling film is being introduced by Fabbri Group, Italian worldwide leading supplier of machines, films, software, and service to retailers and the produce industry.
Nature Fresh can be used on wrapping machines - those supplied by Fabbri Group for optimized results, but not only - or manually, and is the first cling film of its kind being certified as home and industrial compostable (according to the EN 13432 Standard, and today undergoing US certification as well).
“This means that Nature Fresh can be thrown in the organic waste bin, or even in one’s domestic compost heap generating no packaging waste” explains Marco Bini, principal of Nexxt Packaging Solution, Fabbri’s partner for the introduction of this innovative solution to the North American market, being presented at the next Global Organic Produce Expo (Miami, Jan. 31 - Feb. 3).
“Nature Fresh fully integrates Nexxt’s other lines of sustainable materials: it is transparent, highly extensible with optimized thicknesses per application; it is even more breathable than traditional films, and can be printed with compostable inks, thus maintaining its compostability properties.
Consumers are beginning to shift focus on sustainable packaging, and we think that supermarkets will definitely adopt effective solutions to respond to the growing need of a more sustainable world.
Our Company wants to give an effective contribution by informing on the options available for consumers, retailers and industry, and by facilitating provisioning: that’s why we are proud and confident in this new partnership with Fabbri Group.”
