Eric McClam, owner of City Roots Organic Farm, at GOPEX 2022. McClam said the urban farm in Columbia, S.C. is providing a year-round supply of microgreens from customers from Virginia to Florida. The farm is expanding from one to three acres, and McClam said new items this year include cilantro and a spicy and a sweet mix of microgreens. The company also has redesigned packaging and labeling designs, McClam said.
Joshua Ho, CEO of Mushroom King Farms, with operations in California and New Jersey, exhibits on The Packer's GOPEX 2022 expo floor. Ho said the company was showcasing its premium donko organic shiitake mushrooms. The farm is able to grow extra-large shiitake mushrooms that find consistent demand, he said.

Amanda Sains, marketing director for Joolies and Neill Brassell, East Coast food broker for Joolies, are pictured on the 2022 GOPEX show floor. Brassell said Joolies dates, available in both organic and conventional categories, are now in more than 3,500 stores three years after the company started. With vibrant and sustainable packaging, Joolies brings fun and excitement to the category, he said.
