Dundee, Scotland-based Sappi Rockwell Solutions has appointed Hannah Edwards as its new business development manager.

Edwards will be responsible for business growth in the fruit and protein markets for the lidding film manufacturer’s sustainable film solutions, according to a news release. More specifically, she’ll be working on Sappi Rockwell’s recently launched RockFruit 15 micron film and its Starlid GPE-CL multisubstrate, heat-seal lidding film solution.

“Hannah joins us at a challenging time for the industry, but also a very exciting one for Sappi Rockwell, with lots of new developments and innovations underway,” Chris Button, Sappi Rockwell’s head of sales, said in the release. “She brings with her enthusiasm and new insights. Her eagerness to learn and succeed is a breath of fresh air and she is already proving to be a very valuable member of the team.”

Edwards previously worked for four years at another United Kingdom-based company, UEI Falcontec, according to her LinkedIn page. She started out in 2018 as a customer service representative for the company that specializes in engraved products, later moving to a business development manager role in 2019.

In a LinkedIn post from Sappi Rockwell that Edwards recently shared to her page regarding her new position, she noted how “very excited” she was “to be part of this amazing team.”

“Sappi Rockwell is an innovative, dynamic business with huge potential,” Edwards said in the release. “The company’s environmental and sustainability focus was a big attraction for me. The global climate crisis affects everyone, and we all have a part to play. I am thrilled to be part of a company that is actively looking for ways to drive change and find sustainable solutions.”

Sappi Rockwell is a European manufacturer of peelable, high-barrier and anti-fog lidding films. The company was acquired by Sappi Global in 2017 and is a subsidiary of Sappi Europe.
