Sponsored: G&R Farms A Leader in More Than Vidalia Onions

G&R Farms

(G&R Farms)

We’ve been farmers since 1945 and we have established a legacy that has transcended four generations and two continents to perfect the quality and flavor of our sweet onions and make them available year-round. And it all started with the original sweet onion when the Dashers and G&R Farms shipped the first Georgia sweet onions to Piggly Wiggly.

Our business success creates a responsibility to give back through our Seasons of Giving and our signature Growing America’s Farmer programs.  In fact, in the last six years we have donated over $250,000 to the National FFA Foundation to support scholarships for students pursuing careers in production agriculture.

For G&R, leadership and quality go hand in hand and they start in the field. We have a crop production specialist with more than a dozen years of experience leading the Vidalia Onion research and breeding program and he is widely considered one of the top industry experts in sweet onion research and quality. Through his leadership we continue to set the bar on variety opportunities and crop advancements that help us lead in quality and sustainability initiatives.
