( )

The Packer will once again honor excellence in sustainability marketing by companies throughout the fresh produce supply chain by presenting the second annual Best of SPS Marketing Awards at the 2022 Sustainable Produce Summit. The awards will be handed out during the evening reception on June 2, 2022, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California. Register for this event now.

The 2021 awards received more than 60 nominations and awarded four companies with the top prizes and recognized almost a dozen more with honorable mentions. This year the awards are expanding to five categories to honor more of the stellar communications work being produced by retailers, growers, and allied service companies alike. The categories are:

•    Website Marketing
•    Packaging Design
•    Social Media Marketing
•    Retail Promotions
•    Business-to-Consumer Messaging

Last year’s entries set the bar high, but we’re excited to share a new crop of nominees and winners with the industry – and for the first time at an in-person Sustainable Produce Summit event,” said Brock Nemecek, marketing manager for fresh produce at Farm Journal. “It takes great skill to effectively communicate the complexities of sustainability processes and programs, so those who do so successfully deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments which will also advance the industry as a whole.”

Nominations are now open and can be submitted at 2022 Best of SPS Marketing Awards.
