Orangeline Farms honored at Ontario ag event

BMO Bank of Montreal presented Orangeline Farms with an Ontario Farm Family Award Sept. 23 at the 100th annual International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Walton, Ontario.

Orangeline’s founders, the Kniaziew family, were one of 10 families honored at the event for their dedication to agriculture in Ontario, according to a news release.

“BMO has been a steadfast supporter of the Canadian agricultural community throughout our 200 years of doing business, and this event recognizes the Ontario families that lead the sector in business and environmental best practices,” Julie Barker-Merz, BMO Bank of Montreal’s senior vice president for the southwestern Ontario division, said in the release.

“On behalf of our entire team, it is an honor to be recognized for our collective hard work, innovation and environmental stewardship,” Duffy Kniaziew, president and CEO, said in the release.
