Longo's promotes Mimmo Franzone to vice president of merchandising

Mimmo Franzone has been promoted to vice president of merchandising at Longo's, Vaughan, Ontario.

Starting as produce manager in 2003, Franzone has been with Longo's for more than 18 years. He worked as a category manager, director of produce and floral, and then his most recent role was senior director of produce, floral and merchandising services.

On April 7, The Packer presented Franzone with the Canadian Produce Person of the Year award at the 2022 Canadian Produce Marketing Association Convention and Trade show in Montreal.

He’s received several other awards the last few years, and he is an at-large member of the International Fresh Produce Association’s retail advisory council board.

Longo’s has 36 locations and an e-commerce grocery delivery service under the Longo’s banner.
