Natural Delights' Sweet and Salty Almond Mini Medjools have won the Good Housekeeping Healthy Snack Award for Best Dates.

Natural Delights is a Yuma, Ariz.-based date broker, grower and wholesaler.

According to a news release, the Good Housekeeping Nutrition Lab judged the competitors based on the following criteria:

●    Made with real, recognizable ingredients;
●    Prioritize fiber-filled and protein-rich sources;
●    Free from trans fat and partially hydrogenated oils;
●    300 calories or less per serving;
●    10 grams of added sugar or less per serving; and
●    300 milligrams of sodium or less per serving.

“Mini Medjools impressed us with their high-quality ingredients and delicious flavor profiles,” said Stefani Sassos, deputy director of the Good Housekeeping Nutrition Lab, in the release. “The premium quality of the dates are what really stood out to our judges, making for a light and satisfying snack at any time of day.”
