SEPC adds three new committee members to Southern Roots
The Southeast Produce Council has announced three new members have joined its Southern Roots committee, which seeks to cultivate and enrich the relationships of women in produce. The new committee members are Desiree Forsythe of National Produce FB, LLC; Melissa Pine of Bolthouse Farms; and Kim St George of Renaissance Food Group.
The three women have met Southern Roots’ requirements to become a committee member, which include:
- Active SEPC corporate membership
- Commitment to be an active participant and attend conference calls (about 1-2 per month)
- Be creative and open to new relationships and help create new relationships for Southern Roots attendees
- Ability to attend both Southern Exposure and Southern Innovations events
SEPC issued a release thanking all of those who applied to be a part of the Southern Roots committee.
Southern Roots is designed to make meaningful connections among women working in the produce industry through events, education and mentoring. By sharing values, contributions, and experiences, participants will have an opportunity to improve leadership skills individually and collectively, said SEPC.
Southern Roots is held at both Southern Exposure and Southern Innovations. Southern Roots will hold a reception at Southern Innovations, Sept. 22-24, 2022, in Nashville, Tenn.
