DeltaTrak introduces traceability tools
DeltaTrak, Pleasanton, Calif., is showing off some of its traceability and temperature monitoring technology at the Sept. 6-8 Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong.
The company’s ColdTrak Import/Export Traceability Kit includes the new FlashLink Real-Time In-Transit Logger, the FlashLink PDF In-Transit Logger and ThermoTrace TTI Labels, according to a news release.
The real-time loggers grant shippers and receivers constant access to temperature history reports, import/export documents and inspection certificates, which are all automatically uploaded into the ColdTrak cloud database.
“The FlashLink Real-Time In-Transit Logger is especially beneficial to shippers because they don’t have to wait for a receiver to open a container or vehicle doors, find the logger, download it and then email the trip history report,” said Fred Wu, president and CEO of DeltaTrak, in the release.
The data collected is also stored for use with traceability, audits, hazard analysis and critical control points documentation, insurance compliance and FSMA compliance, according to the release.
DeltaTrak’s ThermoTrace time/temperature indicator labels track possible temperature abuse at the pallet level. Shipment information is available by scanning the TTI barcode using a free smartphone or tablet application.
