Andy Rice joins California Giant Berry Farms as new vice president
Watsonville, Calif.- based California Giant Berry Farms has named Andrew “Andy” Rice as vice president of field operations and product supply.
Rice will play a vital role in the California Giant field operations and growth throughout North America, South America and Mexico and will report to California Giant Berry Farms President Joe Barsi, according to a news release.
“Andy is an outstanding talent who will be instrumental in delivering upon our vision of providing the highest quality berries in the most sustainable way,” Barsi said in the release. “His experience and proven track record make us certain that he is the right leader for California Giant.”
Rice built his career in the berry industry, building a track record of managing large-scale berry production. Most recently, Rice oversaw 4,000 acres of berry production and close to 5,000 seasonal and fulltime employees in central and northern California.
Rice holds an MBA from California Polytechnic University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Arizona State University. He lives in Arroyo Grande, Calif., with his wife, Megan, and their four children.
