South Mill Champs opens new facility
Kennett Square, Pa.-based South Mill Champs is opening the most modern, state-of-the-art mushroom farm in the U.S. on Jan. 19 and will increase overall production by 20%, said Michael Richmond, vice president of sales.
The new facility is in Oxford, Pa., just south of the company’s headquarters in Kennett Square.
South Mill Champs’ main varieties are white, crimini, portabella, shiitake, oyster, maitake and lion’s mane, he said.
