Pure Flavor adds organic acreage

Leamington, Ontario-based Pure Hothouse Foods Inc., which markets the Pure Flavor Brand, has increased its owned acreage with a 40-acre expansion that will bring organic tomatoes and cucumbers to market in early spring, increasing growing area at the facility to 115 acres, said Chris Veillon, chief marketing officer.

The company also continues to respond to consumer demand for more than just staple organic items by increasing its line of snacking veggies, like organic Aurora Bites mini sweet peppers and organic mini cucumbers, and by adding specialty cooking ingredients like its new organic Luna Sweets cocktail tomatoes and organic roma tomatoes, said Tiffany Sabelli, director of sales.
