Consentio, a digital trading platform for fresh produce, has appointed John Grecco as vice president of sales for Consentio USA.

With 15,000 customers globally, the Consentio trading platform was launched in the U.S. in late 2021, according to a news release.

Grecco brings experience from the U.S. fresh produce sector, having formerly worked with Phoenix Media, the publishing, consulting and events company known for organizing the annual New York Produce Show, according to the release.

Grecco also has a background in digital product sales, having helped Fortune 500 companies develop enterprise and consumer mobile apps, the release said.

“John is the ideal partner for us with a solid track record of working with technology solutions as well as having fresh produce experience,” Andy Makeham, head of U.S. operations, said in the release. “Furthermore, he is strategically based in California, the largest U.S. fresh produce growing region.”
