California Rodeo Salinas to host FIRA USA 2023
California Rodeo Salinas will be a hub of agricultural innovation this spring as the site of FIRA USA 2023.
The three-day will gather the agtech automation community for a showcase of the latest robotic farming solutions, along with exhibitions, presentations, discussions and networking opportunities, according to a news release.
Following the inaugural event in Fresno, several organizations are hosting a traveling event throughout the state, including French nonprofit association GOFAR; Western Growers; and the VINE/University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources.
“We found a willing audience on both sides — startups enjoyed being part of a focused event where most of the attendees were looking for their type of solution, and growers were also interested in attending a show that focused on one type of solution,” Western Growers Vice President of Innovation Walt Duflock said in the release.
The Salinas rodeo grounds will allow attendees to navigate between theater-style presentations, exhibitors and live demonstrations.
"Our aim is to create a favorable environment that facilitates seamless interaction between growers, innovators, and the latest advancements in robotic farming technology," Gabriel Youtsey, chief innovation officer at UC-ANR, said in the release.
On April 27, FIRA USA will be open for attendees to:
