Nogales, Ariz.-based EarthBlend LLC is offering mini peppers this season for the first time, said Steve Spence, director of sales.

“We started those in January, and we’ll go basically all year,” he said.

The exception will be a gap between December and January.

The red, yellow and orange peppers are packed with 12 of the 1-pound bags per box. The program started in Sinaloa and will transition to central Mexico in June.

The company also will ship seedless watermelons, roma tomatoes, honeydew melons and Italian, yellow and gray squash.

EarthBlend is running a little late on melons because of cool weather, Spence said.

Melons should kick off by April 20, squash already is shipping, and watermelons should be underway by April 15.
