WOODLAND PARK, N.J. — Amid the white baby grand piano, dozens of chandeliers and a chocolate fountain, members of the Eastern Produce Council danced, mingled, nibbled and chatted with friends at EPC's John J. Jay McAleavey Annual Gala.

The council's largest fundraiser of the year was April 1 at the Westmount Country Club. The gala format has evolved the last few years, from a sit-down dinner to buffet tables and passed hors d'oeuvres with a casino night theme to this year's rendition with The Beatles tribute band.

As the night wound down, EPC Executive Director Susan McAleavey Sarlund of the New York Apple Association chatted with Sander Daniels of Holt Logistics, EPC President Marianne Santo of Wakefern Food Corp., Lauren Mordasky of RPE-Tasteful Selections and TracyAnn Simmonds of Affinity Group. epc cocktail hour
