As the early May deadline approaches, The Packer is still accepting nominations for excellence in sustainability marketing.

Nominations for the 2023 Best of Sustainable Produce Summit Marketing Awards will be accepted through May 5, and winners will be announced live at the 2023 Sustainable Produce Summit on May 18.

Award categories are:

  • Website marketing.
  • Packaging design/marketing.
  • Social media marketing.
  • Retail promotions.
  • Business-to-consumer messaging.

Nominations can be made online at the 2023 Best of SPS Marketing Awards online form (via jotform.com).

The nominations are reviewed and winners are selected by a cross-functional team at Farm Journal/The Packer, including marketing, editorial and sales team members.

Judging will be based on:

  • Quality: graphics, organization, presentation.
  • Creativity: new ideas, unique delivery; is marketing/promotion memorable?
  • Clarity: messaging, description of benefits to the audience.
  • Strategy: audience selection, delivery, how marketing/promotion advances your business goals, specifically regarding sustainability.
  • Response: quality/quantity of audience response to marketing/promotion.
