Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Pyure Dynamic Protection is offering a suite of solutions for the food industry.

Pyure’s solution works to actively improve food safety and preserve freshness while at the same time removing odors and reducing illness, according to a news release.

Bacteria, mold, fungi and viruses can propagate in the air and on surfaces, posing sanitation and production risks and threatening occupational health and safety. Contamination often leads to reduced productivity and output. Typical sanitation methods lack consistency and effectiveness, putting businesses at greater risk, according to the release.

By reducing bacteria, molds and other pathogens in the air and on surfaces while also breaking down unwelcome chemicals such as ethylene, companies can decrease rot and spoilage, manage ripening and lower recalls and waste in food processing, storage and distribution, the release said.

Sunlight is nature’s way of destroying harmful pathogens and pollutants in the air. Pyure technology uses the science behind this process to create a highly effective, chemical-free solution, the company said.

"We are excited to offer this solution to help address some of the major challenges facing food and beverage processing today," JF Huc, CEO of Pyure, said in the release. "Our solution is the most effective and efficient way to preserve freshness, improve food safety, and reduce recalls and lost productivity, and we are confident that it will make a significant difference for our customers."

Pyure’s solutions are easy and cost-effective to install and use, and it integrates seamlessly with existing HVAC systems, according to the release. The solution uses dynamic measurement controls to actively treat indoor air and surfaces at whatever scale is required, the company said.
