USDA offers fellowship to help with food system transformation efforts
The USDA is offering a fellowship to food professionals to gain experience with the agency’s efforts to transform food systems.
The USDA has entered into a cooperative agreement with the Federation of American Scientists to establish a new Food Supply Chain Impact Fellowship, according to a news release.
The Federation of American Scientists is accepting applications for the fellowship until Aug. 7 this year, the release said.
Impact fellows will provide coordination, technical assistance and support to the USDA Regional Food Business Centers, the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure program and other food systems transformation efforts, the release said. The fellows will help stakeholders navigate USDA resources.
The USDA encourages applications from individuals with experience serving underinvested communities, the release said. Information about the fellowship and how to apply is available on the Federation of American Scientists Food Supply Chain Impact Fellowship webpage.
