Since February last year, Shammo has been serving as the director of merchandising for Peirone Produce. His pursuit of knowledge about Peirone Produce’s operations, combined with his deep understanding of industry knowledge, led to Shammo being named president, the release said.
“We are thrilled to promote Brent Shammo to this important position,” Ray Sprinkle, CEO and president of URM Stores Inc., parent company of Peirone Produce, said in the release. “He has proven his ability and we are confident that his strategic thinking and dedication will ensure the continued success for our customers and lead the team to achieve new milestones.”
Peirone Produce said it extends its appreciation to outgoing president Michael Kamphaus for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the company’s growth and success over the past nine years, the release said. To ensure a smooth transition, Kamphaus last day with the company will be Dec. 1, 2023, according to the release.
