Pennsylvania-based Sterman Masser Potato Farms plans to showcase its redesigned premium Side Delights Petite Potatoes line at the Southeast Produce Council’s upcoming Southern Innovations event.

The annual trade show and conference in Charlotte, N.C., highlights innovations in the fresh produce industry, such as new product developments, packaging technology and unique brand approaches, according to a news release. Masser plans to spotlight 1.5-pound and 3-pound gusset bags of Side Delights Petite Potatoes, the release said.

The global potato market continues to grow, with an estimated market value of $9.6 billion in 2022 that is expected to reach $11.8 billion in 2028, according to the release.

“As consumer demand for potatoes continues to grow and their confidence cooking potatoes [grows], we are proud to showcase our innovations again at the Southern Innovations show,” Dave Masser, president of Sterman Masser, said in the release.

Side Delights Petite potatoes are U.S. No. 1-grade potatoes available in medley, red, yellow, fingerling, duo and purple potatoes. The potatoes are non-GMO, pre-washed and sized for quick, even cooking. The thin-skinned potatoes are similar in texture and flavor to larger-size potatoes, with a shorter cooking time — ideal for quick cooking in the oven, grill and air-fryer, according to the release.

“We are particularly excited about the new product packaging of our petite potatoes and invite attendees to visit us at booth No. 503,” Lela Reichart, Sterman Masser’s executive vice president of marketing, said in the release.

Side Delights potatoes are available in a full assortment of types and sizes, including convenience-oriented items like Steamables, Bakeables and Grillables, and fresh-cut product lines, including A Cut Above potatoes.
