Nature's Frequencies added to 2017 Top Green Providers list

Food Logistics added Brockton, Mass.-based Nature's Frequencies to its Top Green Providers list for 2017 for the Food Freshness Card.

The Food Freshness Card is designed to extend the shelf life of food and prevent waste, according to a news release.

Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Mass., has installed 36 of the freshness cards in its commercial kitchens, eliminating food waste and saving the university $500 a month, according to the release.

The Top Green Provider list highlights companies that are finding ways to enhance sustainability in the food and beverage industries.

“The future viability of the world’s food supply chain is dependent upon our ability to integrate sustainability from farm to fork,” Lara Sowinski, editorial director of Food Logistics, said in the release. “Transportation and logistics comprise a significant part of that supply chain, and we commend those companies in our industry that embrace their role as environmental stewards, while raising the sustainability bar for their peers.”
