TQL’s Hauls for Heroes campaign sets new record

TQL’s annual Hauls for Heroes campaign officially wrapped up with check presentations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the United Service Organizations (USO).

Each year, the Cincinnati-based freight brokerage firm donates one dollar for every load moved during one week in May. This year’s Hauls for Heroes campaign ran May 15 - 21, raising a company record, $31,399, according to a new release.  That was split evenly between the DAV and USO.

“Our Hauls for Heroes campaign is just one small way we can thank the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the name of our freedom,” Gary Carr, vice president of sales and former member of the Army National Guard, said in the release.

Carr presented the DAV and the USO each with a donation of $15,699, pushing the Hauls for Heroes donation total to more than $154,000 since its inception in 2009, according to the release.
