Oneonta to showcase Juici apples at Fresh Summit
Wenatchee, Wash.-based Oneonta Starr Ranch Growers will feature its Juici apple variety at Fresh Summit Oct. 20-21.
Juici apples made their debut in 2016 and are a cross between Honeycrisp and Braeburn varieties, according to a news release.
Bruce Turner, national marketing representative, said in the release that the variety is in limited supply but by 2019 it should be available throughout the season.
“We hope everyone will stop by booth No. 429 and try our Juici. We’ll also be featuring our domestic Koru apples, a wonderfully flavorful variety from New Zealand that is now grown in Washington,” Turner said in the release.
The company will also debut organic packaging and a new line of organic red and green Anjous, bartletts and boscs pears from Diamond Fruit Growers during the expo in New Orleans, according to the release.
