Do You Have What it Takes?

Do You Have What it Takes?

The world needs more soil and water conservationists. The world needs more entrepreneurs. But what if the world had more entrepreneurial soil and water conservationists?

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and an innovative idea for improving soil and water conservation, this IS your time. The Iowa AgriTech Accelerator is currently seeking early-stage companies with an innovative idea for agricultural advancement. The Iowa AgriTech Accelerator, a mentor-driven program, is designed to fast-track startups. Program participates will have the opportunity to present their solutions to refine product-market fit, perform customer discovery within the industry, and build strategic partnerships in collaboration with industry leaders.

The Iowa AgriTech Accelerator can provide up to $40,000 in seed funding, purposeful networking with mentors, office space in a beautiful office building in Des Moines, and a 100-day residency at a local extended-stay facility. Graduates of the program will be honored during the World Food Prize celebration along with hundreds of global industry and academic thought leaders in attendance.

If you are thinking this is an impressive display of support, you are right. All of the things listed are important, but none more important than mentoring. The Iowa AgriTech Accelerator has worked hard to choose the finest mentors for the selected start-ups. I know this because Agren’s very own, Jamie Ridgely, is one of the mentors. Jamie is one of best and brightest leaders in the ag tech space. At Agren, she excels at building the company’s capacity and ensuring the highest quality of products for our clients. Jamie oversees all internal functions at Agren and also leads our software development efforts, coordinating teams of scientists, software developers and practitioners to bring Agren’s vision for new tools to completion. Throughout Agren’s 21 year history, Jamie has been a central driving force. There simply would be no Agren without Jamie Ridgely.

And now Jamie, along with some of Iowa’s finest entrepreneurs, will be offering their talents to help other budding entrepreneurs reach their goals. If this sounds like a program for you, check out the Iowa AgriTech Accelerator.
