Attendees will hear about the latest consumer trends on organic produce at retail at the Fresh Trends Quiz Show Organic Edition Jan. 26 at GOPEX.

This interactive lunch session at The Packer’s Global Organic Produce Expo Jan. 25-27 in Hollywood, Fla., features Produce Retailer Editor Pamela Riemenschneider looking at brand new Fresh Trends consumer data and what that means to retailers and produce marketers.

Joining her in the session is Brian Dey of Four Seasons Produce.

The interactive nature of the session allows attendees to participate in the direction of the presentation beyond just a question-and-answer session.

Riemenschneider said she’s looking forward to seeing how consumers’ organic purchases will be reflected in the Fresh Trends data, which will be revealed to the market at the event.

“It’s not surprising that salad is the leader in organic produce sales, but we’re interested to see what other categories,” she said. “Carrots and berries are clear leaders in organic sales.”

Industry expert Dey works for Four Seasons Produce, Ephrata, Pa., which specializes in direct-store delivery throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

The company serves a broad variety of organic buyers — from retailers, to home-delivery and online retailers, to buying clubs looking to complement their offerings.

The session is part of a whole day of organic produce education at GOPEX. For more information on the event, visit https://globalorganicexpo.com/.
