Van Solkema hires director of business development

Christina Monnin has joined Van Solkema Family Farms as director of business development.

Monnin, who has worked for Florida companies in the past, will be based in the company’s Byron Center, Mich., headquarters during the Michigan season, and will split her time between there and a Florida office the rest of the year.

She most recently was with Oviedo, Fla.-based Duda Farm Fresh Foods for six years, as account manager/commodity manager for eastern vegetables and citrus. She has also been with South Florida Produce as commodity development manager/consultant and Clear Springs Packing as a saleswoman.

CEO Todd Van Solkema, said the Van Solkema Family Farms is “very excited” to have Monnin join the company.
