The Oppenheimer Group has been recognized for the 17th consecutive year in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

This year also marks Oppy's 11th year as a Platinum Club member, which indicates a company has been on the Best Managed list consecutively for six or more years, according to a news release.

The Best Managed program, now in its 25th year, chooses from among hundreds of competing Canadian-owned and managed businesses with revenues of more than $15 million based on their strategy, capability and commitment to sustainable growth. The program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business Magazine, Queen’s Smith School of Business, MacKay CEO Forums and the TMX Group.

“It’s truly an honor to be named among Canada’s top companies,” John Anderson, chairman, president and CEO, said in the release. “It’s a credit to our people, our culture and to the strategy that sustains our growth.”

In 2017, Oppy launched an expanded berry partnership with Ocean Spray, introduced an Oceanside Pole Brussels sprouts program, increased organic colored bell pepper volume from Divemex and continued developing the market for Jazz, Envy and Pacific Rose apples and Zespri SunGold kiwifruit, according to the release.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company this year is also celebrating 160 years in business.
