Love Beets, Rochester, N.Y., relaunched its marinated baby beets and other beet offerings with resealable packaging that double the products’ shelf life.

According to a news release, products now have a 36-day shelf life.

“Our new 36-day shelf-life makes our products more appealing to retailers because it allows for wider distribution, the ability to carry more items at one time, and will greatly reduce shrink,” George Shropshire, general manager of Love Beets USA LLC, said in the release.

“It also allows more time for the consumer to enjoy his or her beets once they get them home.”

Products with the new “peel and reseal” packaging include the company’s five-flavor line of marinated baby beets, its Sweet & Smoky Shredded Beets, Beet Salsa, and Honey + Vinegar Golden Beets, according to the release.
