Frieda’s announces new director of marketing and innovation

Cindy Karas Sherman is the new director of marketing and innovation at Frieda’s Inc.

Sherman has 16 years of marketing strategy/management experience, with work for consumer packaged goods companies including PepsiCo, Wrigley and Starbucks, where she managed its Teavana Hot Tea business in Starbucks retail stores, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cindy to the Freida’s family,” Frieda’s President and CEO Karen Caplan said in a news release. “Her entrepreneurial spirit elevates our innovative culture and her CPG experience gives us a fresh perspective to improve how we can go above and beyond for our clients.”

Sherman has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Rutgers University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkely.
