NatureFresh in full production mode in Ontario

NatureFresh Farms’ Leamington, Ontario, greenhouses have entered into full production mode for this year’s growing season.

The greenhouse grower-shipper has increased its organic production and is now offering organic sweet bell peppers and mini sweet peppers to its offerings of peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers, according to a news release.

Ontario production is starting for the TOMZ Snacking Tomato line, which will be grown in NatureFresh’s Ontario and Ohio facilities. The line includes red grape, orange grape, yellow grape, cocktail, red cherry tomatoes and the new Tomberry tomatoes, with packaging designed to stand out on store shelves, according to the release.

A recent expansion by a NatureFresh growing partner brings long English and mini cucumbers to year-round availability.

The company has been focusing on a strategic increase in the variety of its Ontario-grown produce commodities, according to the release.
