Publix restarts GreenWise concept
Publix Super Markets, Lakeland, Fla., will reboot its GreenWise store concept with a redesigned store near Florida State University.
GreenWise Markets provide organic products made without artificial preservatives or flavors, according to the company’s website.
“We are committed to being the retailer of choice for consumers who are looking for specialty, natural and organic products,” Kevin Murphy, Publix senior vice president of retail operations, said in a news release. “Over the past several years, we have gained valuable insights from our existing GreenWise locations. By combining these learnings with customer feedback and market trends, we are better positioned to deliver on our vision of being the best at serving the evolving lifestyles of today’s consumer.”
The company launched Publix GreenWise, a line of organic products, in 2003, then expanded the concept to brick-and-mortar stores. There are currently three GreenWise locations open.
The store is scheduled to open in late 2018, 10 years after the most recent GreenWise opened. The company is looking for additional locations in its operating areas, according to the release.
