Registration for the fifth annual Viva Fresh Open golf tournament is now available.

The tournament, sponsored by Bebo Distributing Inc. and Wonderful Citrus, will kick off the annual Viva Fresh Produce Expo on April 25 at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort’s course. Because of increased demand in 2018, the tournament will be on the resort’s Oaks and Canyons golf courses, according to a news release.

“Hosting this tournament at such a remarkable venue, where the PGA Tour will be making a stop just a few weeks earlier for the Valero Texas Open, is a real treat for golfers of all skill levels,” Ed Bertaud, director of retail sales for IFCO and Viva Fresh Steering Committee member, said in the release.

“Since our first Viva Fresh Open, we have focused on bringing together industry stakeholders in iconic settings to promote business in this region,” Bertaud, who is also a Texas International Produce Association board member and chairman of the Viva Fresh Open, said in the release.

Last year, the tournament raised $25,000 for the Brighter Bites Foundation.

Following the tournament, Viva Fresh attendees are invited to the three-hour 19th Hole Celebration, a reception with live music.

For more information on the tournament, including sponsorship opportunities, and to register, visit the Viva Fresh Expo website, or contact the Texas International Produce Association at info@texipa.org or 956-581-8632.
