Crystal Valley Foods remodels warehouse
Miami-based Crystal Valley Foods finished remodeling its Miami warehouse.
There is an additional cooler and pre-cooler space, more receiving and loading capacity with more dock doors, and a new repack room with added capacity to make more value-added items, said Katiana Valdes, marketing director.
Late last year, the company acquired Joco Produce, a longtime importer and marketer of fresh Asian, tropical and specialty fruits and vegetables. The additional product lines help Crystal Valley Foods to become a single-stop source for its customers, year-round, Valdes said.
Crystal Valley Foods also began a partnership with Fargo, Ga.-based Superior Berries in January to ship Superior Berries’ blueberries.
The fruit will be marketed under Crystal Valley’s and Superior Berries’ labels starting in April, according to the story, and shipments will last through May.
