Ontario greenhouse association marks 50 years
The
Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers is celebrating 50 years since its founding with a commemorative logo, an app and several events.
To celebrate the anniversary this year, the Kingsville-based association plans to host a cocktail party during the annual Canadian Produce Marketing Association's convention and trade show, May 9-11 in Toronto.
Marketing coordinator Byron Mellon said the organization is also a sponsor for this year's Hungry for Change conference, scheduled for June 4-6 at Toronto's Chelsea Hotel.
Mellon said a new Greenhouse Hero game should be available in Apple's App Store and Google Play at the beginning of March, accompanied by promotions on social media.
