Root cause web seminar offered by United Fresh

A United Fresh Produce Association web seminar on root cause analysis will feature food safety experts from three industry trade associations.

Called Understanding Root Cause Analysis, the seminar is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 6. Registration is available at bit.ly/RCA-webinar.

Root cause analysis, according to the United Fresh website, is the process of determining the underlying causes of a failure or near miss in food safety controls.

Speakers at the event, sponsored by Ecolab, will include: 

  • Jennifer McEntire, vice president of food safety and technology for United Fresh
  • Trevor Suslow, senior vice president of food safety for the Produce Marketing Association 
  • Greg Komar, technical director  of the California Leafy Greens Marketing Association

Registration is complimentary for United Fresh members and $100 for non-members to participate.
