Hy-Vee recalls fresh-cut products after listeria test
Hy-Vee Inc., West Des Moines, Iowa, is recalling two of the store’s branded vegetable mixes after a positive test for Listeria monocytogenes.
The recall affects two vegetable mixes shipped to eight states; no illnesses have been linked to the products, according to a notice from the retailer.
The recalls are for:
- Hy-Vee Short Cuts Pot Roast Mix, Universal Product Code 0272083305352; and
- Hy-Vee Short Cuts Grill/Oven-Ready Veggie Mix, UPC 0272104105992.
The products have a “Best if Used By” date of Dec. 3. The company pulled all of the recalled products from its stores.
The listeria was detected during routine sampling at Hy-Vee’s fresh-cut facility.
